Layering Leaves, Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello! Today I have an easy card to share with you. A couple of days ago I made a card using the Designer Series Paper (DSP) and textured Basic White piece. The pieces were cut in half so two cards could be made from the piece. I didn't make two card, I had set the pieces aside and today I thought I would work them into a different card. You can see my card from a couple of days ago by clicking here

So let's begin. The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Misty Moonlight card stock. I stamped the flowers on it from the "Layering Leaves" set using Misty Moonlight ink. I had added mine after putting part of the card together. It was looking pretty plain so I thought adding the stamped image would help. It did. I taped this piece on the card base.

Next I took the 4-3/4" x 2" piece of "Delightful Doily" textured Basic White piece and glued it to the front of the card.

Then I took the DSP from the "Les Shoppes" 12" x 12" package that measured 4-1/4" x 2" (I trimmed this piece off by 1/2") to a piece of Misty Moonlight card stock that measured 4-3/8" x 2-1/8".  I glued that piece in place.

The words are from the "Layering Leaves" set and were stamped using Misty Moonlight ink on a piece of Basic White card stock. I die cut them with the third largest stitched circle from the "Stylish Shapes" die set and I layered it using a scalloped die from the "Layering Circles" die set that was just a bit bigger than the stitched circle. I taped the circles together and set them in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals. I colored the leaves in using my Wink of Stella pen.

I stamped the leaves from the "Layering Leaves" set using Misty Moonlight ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock.  I fussy cut the top three leaves. I set them in place on the circle with pieces of Dimensionals and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and I was glad I was able to use those two pieces on my worktable before they got ruined or lost forever!!!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thinking of you card,
Wanda
