Layered Leaves, Around the Bend, Sympathy Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello! I glad you are here to see today's card. It's much better than yesterday's card. What was in my head actually came out on paper like I'd hoped it would. Please read on to see how I made this card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. There is another way you can do this. You can use a folded half-sheet of Crushed Curry card stock. The card opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. I used Basic White so I took a quarter sheet of Basic White and I used the curved dotted die from that bundle and cut it about 2-1/4" on the left and 1-1/2" on the right.

Next I stamped the words from the "Layered Leaves" using Granny Apple Green ink.

I took a quarter sheet of Crushed Curry card stock and die cut the scalloped layer using the die from the "Around the Bend" bundle. I did set the Basic White piece on top first and lined up the die. Then I taped the die down so it wouldn't move and I cut it. This piece was taped to the Basic White piece.

The Designer Series Paper (DPS) is from the "Inked Botanicals" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the front of the card.

Then the die cut layers were taped down on top of the DSP.

The little flowers from the "Around the Bend" bundle. I cut a tiny piece of Crushed Curry card stock and glued it to the little white flower. Then I glued the little white flower on top of the larger white flower. I added a Dimensional to the back and set it aside.

The leaves were die cut using the dies from the same set on a scrap piece of Granny Apple Green card stock. I set the pieces on top of the card for placement and when they were were I thought they looked the best I glued them in place.  I set the flower on top and the card was done.

This was a super quick and easy card to make. I SO love this layout and I'm thinking ahead to Christmas and wondering what wordings will be available and what DSP. The dots could pass for snow so a cute little snowman where the flower is and the greetings in the upper left and you've got a quick Christmas card. I hope I remember that by then!! LOL

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's sympathy card,
Wanda
