Go to Greetings, Dainty Flowers, Thank You Card, Stampin' Up!

I'm happy you made it here today. I have an easy card to share with you today. I found it on Pinterest. It caught my eye a while ago and I kept thinking about it (a bit obsessive) and I knew I had to make it. So click here if you'd like to see the original card and read on to see how I made it.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

There are several pieces to this card but they are easy to put together. First I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Dainty Flowers" 12" x 12" package that measured 5-1/4" x 2-1/2" but you can get by with a 5-1/4" x 1-1/2". I taped this piece to the left side of the card leaving about 1/8" edge around the top, bottom and right side.

A Basic White piece was cut at 5-1/4" x 2-1/2". I used the stitched envelope tip die from the "Basic Borders" die set. I centered the tip of the die on the card stock and I taped it in place about 1/2" from the edge of the DSP on the left.

The flower panel was cut next. It's from the "Dainty Flowers" DSP package and was cut at 5-1/4" x 2-1/8".

Then the Fresh Freesia layer was cut at 5-1/4" x 2-1/4" and the DSP strip was taped to it. Then the piece was taped onto the front of the card leaving about 1/8" edge around the top, bottom and right side.

I used the "Thank You" from the "Go to Greetings" set on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using Mossy Meadow ink. I punched them out using the "Dual Oval" punch. And then using the same punch, I punched out the scalloped oval. I taped the two ovals together. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on top of some Fresh Freesia ribbon that I kind of made look like a bow. I had put some double sided tape down and then pressed the ribbon into it. Then the oval was placed on top of that and the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy card to make. I thought it was a fun layout. Mine is a bit different than the original, I didn't have the scalloped edge border that was used on it. But it's still nice and if you didn't look to compare you wouldn't have noticed a difference!!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thank you card,
Wanda

  3. Wanda, love that card! I'm so glad I got the paper, stamps and dies. The layout is so different than any I've seen and it is one I will definitely want to try.
