Dainty Flowers, Sympathy or Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello! I'm so happy you stopped in to see today's super quick card. And here's how you can make one too.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. The card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Old Olive card stock and textured it using the "Pretty Flowers" embossing folder.

Next I cut a piece of DSP from the "Dainty Flowers" 12" x 12" package. Actually my piece was sitting in the package because it was leftover from a different card/project. I love it when I can use pieces that are just laying around. It measured 2-3/8" x 5".  I love this layout because you can use up a lot of scraps and make fun, pretty and quick cards! The Mossy Meadow layer behind it was cut at 2-5/8" x 5-1/4". I taped those two layers together.

I don't remember where the words came from. I had stamped them at a Stamp-a-Stack and didn't use them. I tried to look through the catalogs to see if I could quickly find the stamp set but no luck. I'm sure it's in there somewhere but I didn't have time to page through the whole catalog, I just skimmed. So if you know what set the words came from, please let me know and I'll add it to the post. They were punched out using the "Dual Oval" punch. The Mossy Meadow layer behind it is from the same punch. I taped the two ovals together and added Dimensionals to the back.

To assemble the card I glued the embossed piece in place. I prefer glue because tape doesn't always have full contact on the surface and I've had it lift up easy. So I just glue and know it isn't going to go anywhere.

The DSP layer panel was glued in place too.

I removed the backing from the word piece, set it in place and the card was done.

See, I told you it was quick. It's also pretty and fun too!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's card,
Wanda

  2. I have so many "strips" about that width and this is a perfect way to use up lots of dsp pieces. I love the Dainty Flowers dsp!
