Dainty Delight, Beautifully Happy, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello! I'm glad you found your way here. Today I have a new image to show you. I would like to say that I put the other sets away so I could play with this one but we all know I rarely put anything away!! LOL Today's card was made using the "Dainty Delights" set and here's how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Old Olive card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White for the inside and one for the outside.

Then I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Dainty Flowers" 12" x 12" package. There's a lot of pretty papers in that package. The one on the backside of this has beautiful flowers on it that can be taped to the front of a card base, add some words and it's done! I may give that one a try later in the week.

I stamped the flower from the "Dainty Delight" bundle using black Memento ink on a piece of Basic White card stock. I used the matching die to cut it out. Then I colored it using my Blends pens. I used the following in light only, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Balmy Blue, Old Olive, and Highland Heather. I added Dimensionals to the back and set it aside.

Next I cut a 2-3/8" x 4-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock. I took my Blending Brush and scrubbed on some Balmy Blue ink. Then I cut a 2-5/8" x 4-1/2" piece of Old Olive for the layer. I taped the two pieces together. Then I added Dimensionals to the back and I set it in place on the front of the card about 1/2" from the top and bottom edges and 1/2" from the fold.

The words are from the "Beautifully Happy" set and were stamped using black Memento ink. I punched them out using the "Double Oval" punch. I took a scrap piece of Old Olive and punched the scalloped oval piece from the same punch. I taped the words to the scalloped piece.

Then the flowers were set in place using Dimensionals and the word piece was added using Dimensionals to the right side and a bit of tape to the left side.

The other 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White was added to the inside and the card was done.

I do like how it turned out and it has such a spring feel. It's a whopping 15 degrees (above zero) here and the thought of spring flowers is SO inviting!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
