Sentimental Park, Country Floral Lane, Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello, so happy to see you are here today! I have a fun card that can be used as a Valentine's Day card, a Mother's Day card, a Birthday card, a Wedding or Anniversary card and of course the Thank You card that I made today. It's a fun and quick card to make.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Petal Pink card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Country Floral Lane" 12" x 12" package and the top piece was cut at 3-1/2" x 4" and the bottom piece was cut at 1-3/4" x 4". You can cut it however you'd like, just make sure the two pieces equal 5-1/4" x 4".

I cut a 3/4" x 4" piece of Poppy Parade card stock for the strip to cover where the two pieces of DSP meet. I taped the DSP to the front of the card and the strip was taped over the are where the two pieces meet.

I die cut a stitched circle from the "Stylish Shapes" using the third largest one on a piece of Petal Pink card stock and one on a piece of Basic White card stock.

The words are from the "Sentimental Park" set and were stamped using Petal Pink on the "thinking of" and Poppy Parade on the "YOU".

The heart and leaf were fussy cut from a piece of DSP from the same "Country Floral Lane" package.

To assemble the circles, I set the Petal Pink one on first. The leaf was glued to the heart and then it was put in place on the circle using Dimensionals.

The Basic White circle was added using tape behind the "th" of thinking and Dimensionals were added to the rest of the circle. It was set in place on the front of the card.

I had some sequins from another project so I thought I'd use them on my card. I added 5 of them to give the card a little bling but not too much. I took the picture before the glue dried on the sequins but it did work out fine because you can see where they are better!

This was a quick and fun card to make. That DSP is very fun to work with.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thinking of you card,
Wanda

  2. I love that particular design of the dsp pack. You made a really pretty Valentine using the two different designs. (I'm going to keep that dsp in mind if it shows up on a clearance price. I stocked up on the Sweet Talk dsp when it got cleared.)
