Hand-Penned Petals, Fitting Florets, Get Well Card, Stampin' Up!

Today's card came from Pinterest. There's several options there and this is one I chose because I was in a pinkish mood!  The pin shows you how to get a lot of pieces from one 12" x 12" sheet of Designer Series Paper (DSP). I did have this flower cut from a sheet so I thought I'd use it. I still had to fussy cut around it but it didn't take long because there wasn't a lot of tough edges. You can see where this card came from by clicking here

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.

The DSP was cut at 5-1/2" x 1-1/2". The Basic White layer behind it was cut at 5-1/2" x 1-3/4" and the Blushing Bride layer was cut at 5-1/2" x 2".  I taped those three layers together and then taped them to the center on the front of the card.

The square was cut next. I used Basic White card stock and cut it at 2-3/4" x 2-3/4".  And the Blushing Bride layer behind it was cut at 3" x 3".

After fussy cutting the flower from the "Fitting Florets" 12" x 12" DSP package. I added Dimensionals behind it. I set it on top of the Basic White square to see where the words would go.

The words are from the "Hand-Penned Petals" set and were stamped using black Memento ink.  Before stamping them, I masked of the word "friend" under the "feel better".

I taped the Basic White square to the Blushing Bride square and set it in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals. I used small Dimensionals on the upper and lower part of the square, I didn't want them to touch the horizontal layers.

The flowers were added and the card was done.

This was a fun and quick card to make. I really like how the DSP just makes the perfect focal piece.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's get well card,
Wanda
