Happiness Abounds, Friendship or Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up!

I am not sure what category this card falls under. Is it a thinking of you card?  A friendship card? A thank you card?  I guess it's a versatile one.  This would make a pretty Mother's Day, get well, wedding, or birthday card. It's also a fun layout.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

First I cut a 4-3/4" x 2" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Hues of Happiness" 12" x 12" package. Then I cut a 5" x 2-1/4" piece of Daffodil Delight for the layer. I taped the two together and set them in place on the front of the card. It's about 1/4" from the top, bottom, and folded edge.

Then I took a different piece of DSP from the same package and I die cut it using the third smallest stitched square die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. I cut a 2-1/8" x 2-1/8" piece of Daffodil Delight card stock for the layer. I taped the two pieces together. It was then set on top of the card to see where the words were going to go. The words are from the same "Happiness Abounds" set and were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink. Then I added Dimensionals to the back of the square and set the piece in place on the front of the card about 3/4" from the left edge and bottom edge.

The flower is from a piece of DSP in the same "Hues of Happiness" package. It was cut with the matching die and set in place on top of the square using Dimensionals. I had fussy cut a little leaf pair and slipped it under the flower.

I thought about adding some embellishments but I decided to color the flower in using my Wink of Stella pen to give it a little bit of shine. It doesn't show up in the photo but in real life it's very pretty. It added just enough glimmer. And the card was done.

This was a very fun card to make. It's colorful. It was quick to make. It was easy. And it can be used for several other occasions.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's friendship card,
Wanda
