True Beauty, Awash in Beauty, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Today I found a group of cards on Pinterest and in that group one stood out and I thought I'd give it a try. You can see the group of cards here

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the front of the card.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Awash in Beauty" 12" x 12"package. I cut it at 2-7/8" x 2-7/8".  The layer behind it is a 3" x 3" piece of Balmy Blue card stock. I taped the DSP to the card stock. I added Dimensionals to the back and set it in place on the front of the card.

The strip with the words on it were cut as follows. I took a 1" x 4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Pretty Flowers" embossing folder. I glued a 3/4" piece of DSP from the same "Awash in Beauty" package. Then I took some white Baker's Twine and tied it around the strip and made a bow.

The words are from the "True Beauty" set and were stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using black Memento ink. I used the die from the "Stylish Shapes" die set on the words and added Dimensionals behind it. I set the words in place on the strip and then I glued the strip in place on the front of the card.

This was a very fun, quick, easy, and sweet card to make. I didn't add any embellishments I thought it would stick up too much because of the flower piece already being raised up.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's friendship card,
Wanda
