Back on Your Feet, Color & Contour, Get Well Card, Stampin' Up!

I was sad to see the "Back on Your Feet" set retiring. It was such a cute set and could be used for both adults and children alike.  So I thought I'd take a moment out and see if I could find a fun card to make using this set and this is what I came up with. You can see the original card here.  I didn't click through to see if there were any instructions, I just went by the photo.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I used the "Stitched Rectangles" dies and cut the second largest one for the top layer.

I used my Blending Brush and Balmy Blue ink and scrubbed on some color towards the center of the piece. Then I stamped the dots from the "Color & Contour" set using Balmy Blue ink.

The turtle is from the "Back on Your Feet" set and was stamped using black Memento ink. I colored it in using my Blends pens. I sued both light and dark Old Olive, light and dark Daffodil Delight and light Soft Suede. I also used the light Balmy Blue for the lines under the shell.  Then I fussy cut the piece out. Dimensionals were added to the back and set aside.

I set the turtle over the scrubbed color area so I could see where the words would go. The words are from the "Back on Your Feet" set and were stamped using Old Olive ink.  Dimensionals were added to the back of the piece and it was set in place on the front of the card base.

The turtle was added and the card was done.

This was a super quick and easy card to make. I love the colors but I especially love the look on the little turtles face!!!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's card,
Wanda
