Artistically Inked, Forever Fern, Friendship or Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up!

When I saw this card on the internet I thought it would be fun to make it. There's two versions of it and I think I'll try the other one tomorrow.  This one has such a clean and simple look to it. I love the colors, it's got a very inviting feel to it. You can see the original card here

I changed the card a little bit not only to save on my colored card stock but I liked the look much better.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 3-3/4" x 5-1/8" piece of Bermuda Bay card stock for the bottom layer. A 3-5/8" x 5" piece of Coastal Cabana card stock was cut for the next layer.  And the focal piece is a 3-1/2" x 4-7/8" piece of Basic White card stock.

I stamped the larger image from the "Artistically Inked" set using Coastal Cabana ink. I textured it using the "Tasteful Textile" embossing folder. The flower was stamped on a scrap piece of card stock using Bermuda Bay ink and the leaves were stamped on a piece of scrap card stock using Granny Apple Green card stock. I die cut the flower and the leaves.

The flower was set in place on the center of the larger flower using Dimensionals. I did not press down on the flower because I needed to add a little tape on the back of the leaves and slip them in under the flower.

The "hello" is from the "Forever Fern" set and was stamped on a scrap piece of Basic Black card stock using Versa Mark ink. I added white embossing powder and heat set it. I trimmed it close to the words and set the piece in place with a piece of Dimensional on the right and a little tape on the left.

I tied a black and white piece of Baker's Twine in a bow and glued it to the flower, just under the corner of the word piece.  And that was it. It's a super quick and easy card to make and it's got such an elegant touch to it.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's friendship card,"
