Special Moments, Let's Set Sail, Thinking of You Card, 2022 Stampin' Up! Spring Mini Catalog

Here's a fun card I found on the internet. I liked the panels and it was easy to make too. You can see the original card here. I made a few minor changes but for the most part it looks a lot like the original card. There was no link to any instructions, so here's how I made it.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece for the top piece.

I took a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "New Horizons" 6" x 6" stack and I die cut three stitched rectangles from it using the "Rectangle Stitched" framelet dies set. I used the smallest one in the grouping of 8 dies. I die cut three pieces from the DSP for the front of the card. I taped along the edge of the middle piece and stuck it to the back piece. This was done on my worksurface, not on the front of the card.  Dimensionals were added to the top piece and I remove the backing all except for the bottom ones and stuck it to the other two rectangles.

I set the rectangles on top of the 4" x 5-1/4" piece of card stock to see where to stamp the words and birds. The words are from the "Special Moments" Sale-a-Bration set and the birds are form the "Let's Set Sail" set. I stamped both at the same time. I did add few more birds to the top and I masked off the top two before stamping them. I had used black Memento ink to stamp the birds and words.

I textured the piece using the "Tasteful Textiles" embossing folder.

The die cut strips were set in place using glue on the back two and I removed the backing from the Dimensionals and set the piece in place lining up the top and bottom equally and the sides equally.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the 4" x 5-1/4" textured piece and set it in place on the front of the card base.  And the card was done.

This was a very fun, quick, and easy card to make. I was very pleased at how it turned out and even more pleased at how quick and easy it was to make.  It was a fun find!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's thinking of you card,
Wanda
