Hand-Penned Petals, Peaceful Moments, Birthday Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

It feels like it's been a while since I've made a birthday card. Though it could have been two days ago because my memory fails me. I make a card and then I get an idea or find another card to make and I forget all about the one I just made. Progress or forgetfulness???? LOL

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and I rounded the corners.  Then I stamped the two flower image stamps from the "Hand-Penned Petals" set. One has two flowers and then there's a single flower. I put both on my stamping block and I inked them up using Mango Melody that was stamped off once. The hard part of this for me is I tend to get into a rhythm stamping off and then on the card stock that I would forget to stamp off. I did well this time, I didn't miss a beat!!!

The flowers are a die from the "Penned Flowers" die set using Mango Melody, Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie. I also die cut some leaves using the Evening Evergreen card stock.

I added Dimensionals to the back of the flowers where it was wide enough to add them and then I cut some Dimensionals in half to make them fit on other areas.  I could have added one in the middle because the center was going to be covered, but I didn't know I was going to cover it at the time.

I set the flowers in place and then I glued the leaves under them. I added some Mango Melody colored rhinestones to the center of each flower.

The words are from the "Peaceful Moments" set and were stamped using Pumpkin Pie ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I punched them out using the "Double Oval" punch. I also punched out an Evening Evergreen oval for the layer. I taped the two pieces together and added Dimensionals to the back. I set the words in place on the card stock.

Dimenionals were added to the rounded corners piece and set in place on top of the card base and the card was done.

This was a very fun and easy card to make. I love it that I can use this set for fall too. A changing of the seasons set!!! Versatile sets are what I most often look for unless the set is SO stunning that I lose all sense of consciousness and just have to have it! LOL

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to see today's fall birthday card,
Wanda
