Cutest Halloween, Kid Friendly Halloween Card, 2021 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

I had a lot of fun making today's card. I was able to grab a couple of pieces of scrap Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Cute Halloween" 6" x 6" stack. Ya gotta love it when you can use those scraps!

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Highland Heather card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock. Then I cut a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of DSP from the "Cute Halloween" stack. I thought the stripes would look nice on the background.

A 4-5/8" x 2-1/8" piece of Basic Black card stock. And a 4-1/2" x 2" piece of Highland Heather card stock. The DSP measured 4-3/8" x 1-7/8".  These were all taped together.

I took a 2" x 2" piece of the colored dotted DSP and added a  2-1/8" x 2-1/8" piece of Basic Black and a 2-1/4" x 2-1/4" piece of Highland Heather. I taped these pieces together. You can cut the piece in half and butt it up against the long layer. I just left it long and taped it to the long layer and then I taped that to the front of the card.

I fussy cut a skull, mostly because it was a piece that was usable on a small scrap but it worked out in my favor! It was set in place using a couple of Dimensionals.

The words are from the "Cutest Halloween" and were stamped using black Memento ink on a piece of Basic White card stock. I trimmed the piece to measure 5/8" x 1-3/4". I clipped the corners so they didn't have that sharp look. I set it in place using Dimensionals. I doubled the thickness of the Dimensionals on the left side.

I thought it could use something more so I glued on some paper stars that I had die cut the other day. They were left over and they were also in the cover of a container I had on my worktable that really needed to be closed. So I glued every one of those little stars on the front of the card.

Then I colored the skulls and all of the stars using Wink of Stella. It was just enough sparkle to make the card fun!

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop by and see today's kid-friendly Halloween card,
Wanda
