Cutest Halloween, Kid Friendly Halloween Card, 2021 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

I found another card on Pinterest that uses scraps of Designer Series Paper(DSP).  I've been on the lookout for this type of card. I have SO much DSP and it's nice to use up the scraps!

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Gray card stock. The full sheet was cut in half on the short side so this card opens at the bottom and the fold is at the top.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White was added to the inside.

The Pumpkin Pie layer was cut at 3-5/8" x 4-7/8" and the Basic White piece on top was cut at 3-1/2" x 4-3/4".  Before the two layers were taped together you can die cut the scalloped circle using the one that measures about 2-1/4". After taping the two layers they were then taped to the front of the card.

The ribbon is the black & white gingham ribbon that was colored using the dark Pumpkin Pie Blends pen. It's interesting how stiff the ribbon gets after it dries.  Once it was dry I tied it into a bow and set it aside.

The words are from the "Cutest Halloween" set and were stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using black Memento ink. I used the 1-7/8" circle die to cut it out. Then I taped the two circles together. I added Dimensionals to the back and it was set aside.

The rectangles of DSP from the "Cute Halloween" 6" x 6" stack were cut at 1-3/8" x 2" and taped to the Basic White piece. I found this step the most difficult because it had to be centered and set on evenly. But I managed!

I die cut the spider's web from the "Frightful Tags" dies using Basic Black card stock. I cut 1/4" of it for this card. I added a little glue to the back of it where it wouldn't show sticking out behind the circle. I removed the backing on the Dimensionals on the circle and set the two pieces in place at about the same time.

The pumpkin was punched from a piece of the DSP in the "Cute Halloween" stack and it was set in place with a Dimensional on the right side and tape on the left.

The ribbon was tied into a bow and was set in place with a dot of Tombow mono glue.

I thought the card could use a little bit of sparkle so I added some Wink of Stella to the pumpkin's eyes and to the spider web. I highly recommend adding the Wink of Stella to the spider web before it's set in place. After works too but it's easier to do before.  And that was it.

This was a very fun and quick card to make, plus you get to use up some of your scrap pieces.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's kid-friendly Halloween card,
Wanda
