All Squared Away, Birthday Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

My card today is from the "All Squared Away" set for the words and the dies for the flowers.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. The sheet was cut in half on the short side so the half piece measured 4-1/4" x 11. I scored it at 5-1/2" and folded it in half.

I took a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Ornate Floral" embossing folder.

Then I cut a 4-3/4" x 2" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the 2021-2022 in colors 6" x 6" stack. I glued it in place on the left side of the card. Then I took some white Baker's Twine and wrapped it around the card twice. I taped the ends on the backside using scotch tape. The twine was wrapped about 1-7/8" up from the bottom of the embossed piece.

I die cut the flower square from the "Floral Squares" dies. I die cut 4 of them and glued each one on top of the other. I took my dark Shaded Spruce Blends pen and colored the leaves. The flowers were "colored" by using the flower dies and a scrap piece of the matching DSP. Oh, my color of DSP is Pale Papaya. I cut a 1-13/16" x 1-13/16" Basic White square for the back of the flower piece. I glued the flower square to it. I set a punch on top of it to dry and to keep it flat.

The words are from the "All Squared Away" set and were stamped on a 1/2" x 3-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock using Shaded Spruce ink. I clipped the left side at an angle. The words were set in place using Dimensionals.

The square was set in place using Dimensionals. I added some Wink of Stella to the flowers. The needed a little sparkle. I tried to capture it in the photo. If you click on the photo you might be able to see the sparkle.

Next I slipped a 7" piece of Bakers' Twine under the two strands and tied a bow. I didn't tie a knot first, I just took the twine and made loops and tied it that way.

I colored some rhinestones using my dark Crushed Curry Blends pen and set them in place on the front of the card when they were dry. You might want to do the coloring of them before you start assembling the card to make sure they are dry.

This was a very fun and easy card to make. I have not been having as much fun with this set as I thought I would but lately I've found some fun cards for inspiration.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
