Painted Poppies, Pansy Patch, Thank You Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

When I saw this card on Pinterest I knew I wanted to make it so I could keep it in my stash. This card is SO versatile. It can be used for almost any occasion you can think of, as long as the words fit in the space.  You can see the original card here

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. The original card had the front of the card textured. I left it smooth. It gave it a more elegant look.

I die cut the second largest "Ornate Layers" die using Basic White card stock. I set this piece up in my Stamparatus.

I used the flower image from the "Painted Poppies" set using black Memento ink to stamp them. Then I stamped the gray area using the image from the "Painted Poppies" set and Smoky Slate ink that was stamped off once. I stamped that image twice. When making more than one card I am really bad at remembering to stamp off on the second one.  But when I make one I can remember.

The flower was colored in using Poppy Parade light and dark Blends pens. and the leaf and stems were colored using the dark Old Olive Blends pen.

The original card had what looked like a sequin affixed to the bottom third of the right area. I left it plain but am thinking of maybe adding something there. It is kind of empty looking. I thought maybe the speckled image would compensate for that. It really didn't, did it?

Anyway, Dimensionals were added to the back of the fancy frame piece and set in place centered on the card base and the card was done.

This is a super quick and easy card to make and it's perfect for SO many occasions.  Just find the right words to fit in the space and you can make this into almost any card  you need.  I may make a few extra and leave the bottom open to add an occasion later. Oh and no Dimensionals on the back until the words are stamped!  And don't forget to stamp off both times!!  There, if I can remember that I'll be doing good!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to see this very versatile card,
Wanda
