Sweet Strawberry, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Today's card is one of the three birthday cards I need soon.  This one needs to get out in the mail tomorrow! No stress here! LOL

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Ornate Floral" embossing folder.  I glued the embossed piece to the front of the card.

Next I stamped the background leaves and flowers using Granny Apple Green ink on Basic White card stock. I die cut it using the largest "Stitched" circle die.  I colored the leaves using the light Granny Apple Green Blends pen and the center of the flowers were colored using the dark Daffodil Delight Blends pen.

Then I stamped four leaves. I stamped the leaf outline first using Granny Apple Green ink. The leaves were filled in using the solid stamp and Granny Apple Green ink that was stamped off once. I had re-inked my pad and it's stamping pretty dark right now. Could be too much ink!!! Maybe!!!  Probably!! LOL

I used the matching punch to punch out the leaves.   I did the same with the tops of the strawberries.

The outline of the strawberries were stamped using Poppy Parade ink. Then they were stamped using the solid image using Poppy Parade ink too.

The tops of the strawberries were glued in place and set aside.

The words are from the same "Sweet Strawberry" set and were stamped using Versa Mark ink. Then they were embossed using white embossing powder. I  used the "Double Oval" punch to punch out the words since the other oval dies are now retired. I'm trying to always use current products but sometimes I just have to improvise.

To assemble the card, the circle was set in place with Dimensionals. Then the leaves and strawberries were added. The middle strawberry was set in place using Dimensionals as well as the upper right strawberry.

The word piece was added last using Dimensionals. A few crystal rhinestones were placed on the front of the card and the card was done!

This was a fairly quick card to make and a super easy one!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to see this sweet birthday card,
Wanda
