All Things Fabulous, Art Gallery, Thinking of You Card

I found today's card on Pinterest. What really caught my eye was the color of the rose.  It happens to be the new Magenta Madness ink.  I don't have that color yet so I had to make do with what I had. I could have waited to make the card but I probably would have forgotten it by then.  You can see the original card here and see why it caught my eye. Magenta Madness is a very pretty pink!

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

The first thing I did was I die cut that pretty lacy looking piece. I want to use it on some other cards, it's SO pretty. And I made sure I used a sticky sheet behind it so it would become a sticker because there was no way I was gluing that piece!!!  My sticky sheet must have been a bit old because it didn't want to stick very well.  So, I set in place and then I used my embossing heat tool and heated up the piece. I turned it over and pressed down on it and now it's really stuck!!

Then I stamped the flower from the same "All Things Fabulous" set on Basic White card stock using Flirty Flamingo ink. I stamped off once and then stamped the image. There's an inner image that I lined up and stamped with Flirty Flamingo ink.  I colored over the flower using Wink of Stella.  It was kind of plain looking without it.

The leaves were stamped and die cut next. I needed two for this card.

I wasn't fond of the words in the "All Things Fabulous" set so I found something I liked in the "Art Gallery" set and stamped them on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock with black Memento ink. The dies that go with that set have the cute postage stamp edge rectangle die. I die cut the words and I was ready to assemble.

The lacy piece was set in place first and then the leaves. But you need to put the flower over the center area to know where the leaves should go.  I glued the leaves in place.  Then I set the flower in place using Dimensionals.  The words were set in place with Dimenisonals on the right and a glue dot on the left.

The black area around the pretty colored area needed something so I added some retired "Perfect Accents".  You can use pearls or any other shiny thing!

This was a very fun and easy card to make. I don't make black cards very often but I found this one to be stunning.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by today and see this pretty card,
Wanda
