Welcome Easter, Children's Easter Cards, Ice Cream Corner

I needed to make a couple of Easter cards for my granddaughters but I didn't buy any new Easter sets this year. SO I took out my retired "Welcome Easter" set and stamped a bunny and a chick and made their cards using those two images.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper from the "Ice Cream Corner" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the card base.

I stamped the bunny and the chick from the "Welcome Easter" set using black Memento ink on Basic White card stock. They were cut out and then colored using Blends pens.  I did a much better job with my coloring last year when I had gotten the set. You can see my chick card here and my bunny card here for reference for coloring. The bunny card there is actually a Wobble card. You use coiled up wire to make a spring to put between the card and the back of the bunny and it wiggles.  It's cute. But I opted to just color the cards and not do anything fancy because come Monday the cards will be in the recycling bin anyway! They are kids, kids don't hang onto cards!

These were quick and easy and fun to make and I 'm glad I got them done instead of waiting until the very last minute, which is something I tend to do!

I'm not fond of the Flirty Flamingo background. I think Pumpkin Pie might have been better. But like I said, it's for kids and they won't notice.  LOL

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop by and see my mediocre Easter cards today,
Wanda
