Art Gallery, Wedding or Anniversary Card, 2021 Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog

Don't you love it when you find a card on the internet that you have all the stuff to make it?  Me to but I didn't have everything to make this one.  And don't you just love it when you can use the stuff you have and make it work?  That's what I did here. You can see the original card here.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Calypso Coral card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut two 4" x 5-1/4" pieces of Basic White card stock. One is for the inside and one is for the front.

I taped one of the white pieces to the front with removable tape. Then I die cut the circle using the 2-11/16" circle die.  I cut both at the same time.

I removed the white piece and added a 1-1/4" x 4" strip of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Fine Art Floral" 12" x 12" paper pack.   Then I taped some Flirty Flamingo ribbon I had in my stash. I didn't have any Calypso Coral but since there is some Flirty Flamingo in the DSP, I thought it would blend and it did. I taped the ends of the ribbon to the back of the card stock using scotch tape.

The words were stamped next. They are from the same set and were stamped using Calypso Coral ink.

The other Basic White piece was taped to the inside. I closed the card and sponged the circle onto the white piece on the inside. Flirty Flamingo in was used for the sponging and I used a blending brush to do it.

The front of the card was then taped in place and a bow was tied and added using a glue dot.

I stamped the flower on a separate piece of card stock using Calypso Coral ink. I die cut the piece. I stamped the center of the flower using Calypso Coral ink and added Tombo Mono glue to it and allowed it to dry. You may want to do this step first to give the glue time to dry.  Once it was dry I added some gold flecks to it and pressed them in place.  Then I took a stipple brush and brushed away the gold that didn't stick.

The flower was added to the inside of the card using Dimensionals and it was done.

This was a fun card to make and I am happy with the way it turned out. If you don't compare the two you wouldn't notice that mine is not quite as nice!!!!  LOL

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by today and see what I was working on today,  Wanda

  1. Hi Wanda, Love your card! This is one I pinned for future cardmaking. Just a suggestion, I have stamped the inside with Versamark and added the gold flakes when doing other cards.
