Ghoulish Goodies, Halloween Card, September 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit Alternative Card

I wanted to make another Halloween card using the September 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit. I have one more I want to make and then I'm bagging up the rest of the items and calling it a done deal. I made a lot of fun cards from this set. I found this fun card on Pinterest. You can see the original card here.  There are no instructions, so I had to wing it. I think I got it close enough!

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock. And the Pumpkin Pie card stock was cut 3-3/4" x 5".  The card stock layers were taped together and then taped to the card base.

I cut a 2-7/8" x 2-7/8" circle and stamped the pumpkin faces from the September 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit. I stamped them in black Memento ink.  I used a template I had made to set the square in and stamp and move the square so I could complete a whole circle. You can see that template here.  There's links there to find out how to make your own template. I keep my template right in with my Stamparatus. I have to take it out each time I need to use the Staparatus but that's okay, I always know where my template is. I also wrote on it so I know where to place the image.  After stamping the pumpkin face eight times I removed the square from the template and hand stamped the flowers using Crushed Curry ink. I centered the top part of the square piece and lined up the sides so they all looked pretty even.

The words are form the "Ghoulish Goodies" set and were stamped in black Memento ink. Then they were die cut using the 1" x 3" "Rectangle Stitched " Framelits dies. I moved the words to the right so I would have room for the cats legs. This piece was set in place using double sided tape.

The cat is a die cut from the kit and was flipped over and colored black using a Sharpie. The cat was then set in place using glue dots.

The witches hat is from the kit and was set in place with glue dots too.  A flower from the kit was added to the hat and a rhinestone colored black was also added to the center of the flower. And that was it. The card was done.

It's so cute and not scary! I really like those smiles in a circle. That template is fun to use. Oh and if you compare the two cards, the original card had more space between the faces. The template there was obviously larger. I made mine for another card and probably followed someone's instructions. You can make your template to whatever size fits your need.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
