Good Morning Magnolia, Painted Labels, Thinking of You Card

I sure have made use of the five 2-1/2" x 4" card stock samples of the 2020-2022 in colors.  I have a half  a piece of the Cinnamon Cider color left.  I have never used those little card stock samples before and I've received many of them over the years.

Today's card was a fun one to make. It's quick and simple too.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Crushed Curry.  I didn't have the new Bumblebee color (yet).  The piece was folded in half. The card opens at the bottom and the fold is at the top.

I cut a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of the "Flowers for Every Season" 6" x 6" card stock pack.  I was looking at this piece and thinking how busy it was.  But used on a card this way took some of the business out of it.  When I cut the piece, I cut the 5-1/4" piece first and was left with the 3/4" strip that I turned over and used on the center of the card. I taped that strip in place and trimmed the end.

The "Painted Labels" die was used to make the swirly image. I die cut using Crushed Curry card stock.

The words are from the "Good Morning Magnolia" and were stamped on a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock using black Memento ink.  I set the words in place using Dimensionals and then the entire piece was just taped on top of the front of the card.

I punched out two medium daisies from Whisper White card stock. They were glued together in the center. I took a retired faceted gem and stuck it to the center of the flower. I'm determined to use these up!!!  The flower was then set in place with a Dimensional.

A "Polka Dot Tulle" bow was tied and set in place with a glue dot. And for the final touch, a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White was added to the inside.

I was thrilled at the look.  It's not busy, it's  bright and cheery.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
