Senior Years, Retirement Card, 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I wasn't planning on making a retirement card, even though this was why I bought this set. I saw the "Happy" and didn't read any further.  The set does have a "Happy Birthday" image.  But it's okay, I can add this to my stash.

This was a fun and easy card to make.  The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Daffodil Delight card stock. I didn't tape this piece yet.

I cut a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Flowers for Every Season" 6" x 6" stack.

I cut a 1-1/2" strip from the same DSP pack.  I used the "Triple Banner" punch and punched the end.  And I did the same with a piece of Daffodil Delight card stock.  I taped the pieces to the DSP and trimmed the top.  I didn't measure the length of the strips since I was just going to trim the excess.

I stamped the lady from the "Senior Years" set using black Memento ink on Whisper White card stock.  I die cut the image using the oval die and I die cut a scalloped oval from the 4" x 5-1/4"  Daffodil Delight layer.

I colored the lady in using my Blends pens. I used light and dark Daffodil Delight. Light Flirty Flamingo. Granite Gray light and Soft Suede light.  For the skin I used the light Petal Pink pen.

I taped the Daffodil Delight and DSP together and then taped those to the front of the card.

Then I taped the ovals together and set them in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals.

The words are from the same set and were stamped on Whisper White using black Memento ink. I set the words in place using Dimensionals.

I added some tiny pearls to the necklace and earrings and a few little bit larger ones to the front of the card. And that was it.

This was a very fun and easy card to make.  I love how colorful it is.

Thank you SO very much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
