June 2020 Paper Pumpkin, Thinking of You Card

Isn't this card just adorable?  I found it on Pinterest.  You can see the original here.  I pretty much copied it exactly.  I just thought it was SO cute that I had to make one.  And it was SO quick and easy to make too.  I did not follow through to the link to see if there were any instructions. I just made by how I thought it was made.

So here we go.  The base of the card  is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.

I cut the black and white polka dotted rectangle from the June 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit.  The rectangle was cut in half (1-1/4") and then cut to 4-1/4" long.  Then I cut a 1-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of gold foil card stock.  I removed the protective layer from the back of the polka dotted piece and affixed it to the gold foil piece.  I taped that piece to the front of the card setting it just a hair over 1/4".  It really doesn't matter where you place it. If you get it too much away from the edge all you will need to do is move the sun up a bit.  Easy fix.

I stamped the words from the kit using Basic Black ink .  The two words are separate in the kit. I set it up in my Stamparatus to make sure I got it straight.  Plus I was making two since I cut the polka dotted piece in half. As long as I had two, why not?  And when I had cut my gold foil piece, it was cut in half too, so it was meant to be to make two!!

After stamping the words, I took some gold thread and wound it three times around my spread fingers.  I clipped the end from the spool near the beginning of the thread. I stuck it to a Dimensional to hold it in place.  I set that Dimensional on the back of the sun and added more Dimensionals around it. I removed the backing off the Dimensionals and I set the sun in place on the card.

I took the sequins that were in the kit and added three of them to the card and that was it. The card was done and SO stinkin' cute!!!

This was a very fun, quick, and easy card to make. I had fun making it and that counts too!

Thank you SO much for taking your time to visit today,
Wanda
