This Little Piggy, Friendship Card, 2019-2020 Stampin' Up! Catalog

Here is my version of a card I found on Pinterest using the "This Little Piggy" set.  I thought it was a cute card and I used Flirty Flamingo because that was the color ribbon I had.  My card didn't turn out the same because apparently I can't look at the original card enough to figure I should stamp the pig first and then work the rest of the card.  SO, this is my version of the card! You can see the original card here.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock.

I textured a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White card stock using the "Lace" 3D embossing folder.

I took a 2" x 4-5/8" piece of Flirty Flamingo and I textured it using the "Lace" embossing folder.  I punched the end using the "Triple Banner" punch.

I stamped the piggy from the "This Little Piggy" set using black Memento ink on Whisper White card stock.  I cut that piece 2-3/8" x 3".  I had a piece cut the same as the Flirty Flamingo piece but the pig wouldn't fit on it.  That's when the light bulb came on and I realized that piece needed to be wider.  Which meant the ribbon piece behind it needed to be wider.  I didn't want to redo the ribbon piece so I just improvised from here.

I stamped another piggy and I fussy cut it out. I colored it all in with my light "Petal Pink" Blends pen and then I colored it again using the dark "Petal Pink" Blends pen.  I should have colored over the edges where the two colors meet with the light pen again to blend them in.

I colored the flower in using the dark Daffodil Delight Blends pen.  I added a small clear rhinestone to the center of the flower.

I colored the grass and the leaf on the flower using the light Granny Apple Green Blends pen.  And that was it for the coloring.

I set the fussy cut piggy over the one stamped on the Whisper White piece using Dimensionals. I taped that to the Flirty Flamingo ribbon piece and I set the ribbon piece in place using Dimensionals.

I tied a bow and used two small glue dots to set it in place and the card was done.

I think it's pretty cute and I will miss this set when it's retired next month.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by and check out my latest creation/find!
