Music From the Heart, 2020 Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog, Birthday Card

This card was a bit more difficult for me than I thought it would be.  Well, not exactly difficult, just more to it than it looks.  The original can be found here.

The base of the card, actually the whole card is a half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.

I stamped the musical lines from the "Music From the Heart"  using black Memento ink.

Then I stamped the treble clef and the words at the same time both are from the "Music From the Heart" set. I stamped them using Basic Black ink.  I wanted to see if it would stamp darker than the Memento ink.  I don't recommend it and I'll explain later.

Next I stamped the tiny heart in the set. I did stamp off with the following colors,  Daffodil Delight, Seaside Spray,  and Rococo Rose.

I used the dotted stamp image from the "Happy Birthday to You" Sale-a-Bration set using Daffodil Delight ink, straight from the ink pad.  Any splatter or dotted image will work.

And then I sponged some Seaside Spray ink on the are of the treble clef.  This is where you don't want to be using Basic Black ink. It smeared a bit.  The black Memento ink wouldn't do that.  But it's light and it will be okay, just making a mental note for the next time I used the Basic Black ink.

This was an easy card to make, it was the little hearts that were a bit time consuming.  But all in all I like it and I would make it again.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
