Hoot Hoot Hooray, Itty Bitty Greetings, Birthday Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog

Isn't this an adorable card?  I saw it on Pinterest and I just had to make it.  Though it seems I rarely read through the instructions on the simpler cards  I didn't notice until I was assembling it that my circle was smaller than the one on the original card.  But it works and looks just fine so I left it. Besides, I had already colored it. Gosh, like it's such a big deal to color!! LOL

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. This card is folded at the top and opens at the bottom.

I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White card stock and I stamped the flower on it four times. I didn't mask the words under the flower, I just stamped and the words were hidden with the 5" x 5/8" piece of Real Red card stock.  I did draw a line on the piece so I could use it to line up the bottom of my clear block on it each time, allowing me to get the flowers straight and even across the card.

I stamped another flower but I did mask off the words before I inked up the image.  I stamped it on Whisper White card stock and I die cut it with the 1-7/8" circle die.

The words are from the "Itty Bitt Greetings" set.  I stamped them using black Memento ink as I did with all the other stamping on the card.  I punched them out using the "Classic Label" punch.

I set the flower and the words in place using Dimensionals.

I taped the 5" x 3-3/4" piece of Whisper White to the card base and the card was done.

The original card just used the card base only. I don't like to do that because I'm afraid I will mess it up. If I mess up the smaller piece to be taped on top, it's no big deal. I can just cut and stamp another one.  I'm not a confident stamper!! LOL

This was a very fun card to make and I can see myself making more for Mother's Day, Thinking of You, Thank you and Get Well cards.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
