Flowering Foils, Wonderful Moments, Birthday Card

I found this pretty card on Pinterest.  You can see the original card here.  I did make a couple of minor changes.  And no, not the piece of backing from my square dimensional.  LOL I did not see that when I was taking the photo and I thought about retaking the photo but I decided to leave it there to show you that I'm really not a perfectionist!!! LOL

There was not a whole lot of instructions on the link so I just winged it.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White and I textured it using the "Layered Leaves" 3D embossing folder.  I LOVE this folder and it was the closest think I had to what the original card used.  I thought leaves would be a great background anyway.  I taped that to the card base.

Next I fussy cut the flowers from the "Flowering Foils" 12" x 12" paper pack. I colored the flowers in by sponging on Flirty Flamingo ink.  And the leaves were sponged in using Pear Pizzazz ink.  Those two colors were on the original card, I was able to scroll down to the supplies to purchase list and saw the colors.

The words are from the "Wonderful Moments" stamp set. I stamped them on a 1/2" x 1-1/2" piece of Whisper White using black Memento ink.

I colored a 2-1/2" piece of the Silver Metallic Edge ribbon using the Flirty Flamingo Blends pen.

I taped the words to the ribbon.  Then I trimmed the edges of the ribbon.

I added my small square Dimensionals to the ribbon and I set it in place on the card.  And that was it.

This was a very simple and quick card to make.  I have LOTS of the "Flowering Foils" paper left and I plan on making more cards like this. I will change the words to make a get well, Mother's Day, thinking of you, and a get well card.  I think all of those would be great on this card.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today.  Be safe and stay healthy,
Wanda
