Positive Thoughts, Here's a Card, Birthday Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog

I found on card on the internet and it was a bit fuzzy but I managed to make what I thought it looked like.  You can see the original card here.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Rococo Rose.  This card s folded at the top and opens at the bottom.

I took a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock and I inked up the fern looking leaves (actually they remind me of celery leaves) using Granny Apple Green and then I touched the edges and a little bit in the center in a couple of spots using Mossy Meadow.  I stamped the image and then I stamped on my card front. It's a piece of Whisper White that measures 3-7/8" x 5-1/8".  I inked up the image again with just Granny Apple Green and stamped off once and then stamped to the right of my first ferny leaf image.  I die cut the first leaf I stamped.

I stamped two flowers from the "Positive Thoughts" set using Rococo Rose ink. I die cut the flowers.

The words are from the "Here's a Card" set. I stamped them using Mossy Meadow ink.

I set one flower in place using tape and then I added the ferny leaf image using Dimensionals.

I tied a piece of ribbon around the front and taped the ends on the back. Then I slipped a piece of ribbon under the ribbon strip and I tied a knot.  I trimmed the ends. I added a glue dot behind the ribbon strip and one inside the knot.  This ribbon (it's retired) is a bit slippery.  The color of this ribbon is "Pretty in Pink".  I told you it was retired. But it went SO well with the Rococo Rose color.  I didn't have any Rococo Rose ribbon so I decided to use what I have and I made it work!

I added the second flower using a glue dot and a Dimensional.

I stamped the butterfly from the "Positive Thoughts" set using black Memento ink.  Then I die cut it using the matching die. I colored it using my Blender Pen and the Rococo Rose ink pad.  I also colored it with the Wink of Stella Pen. I thought the flowers could use some Wink of Stella too.  I set the butterfly in place using a couple of Dimensionals.

I taped the Whisper White piece to the card base and the card was done. Oh, I did add a 4" x 5-1/2" piece of Whisper White to the inside of the card.  And then it was complete.

I REALLY like this set. I can see myself making a lot of fun cards with it.

Thank you for taking the time to visit today,
Wanda
