Beautiful Friendship, Perennial Essence, Birthday Card

Today's card doesn't really do it for me!!!! I think the left side is a bit blah.  I was trying to play with some pieces that were already cut. I seem to get so many small pieces that end backup in the pack of papers. The settle to the bottom and sometimes get other designs on top and then they are buried.  SO today when I was looking through the papers, I decided to try to use up a few of those sitting in the pack.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Pacific Point card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I taped a 1-1/4" x 5-1/4" piece of the peach colored Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Perennial Essence" 12" x 12" package over a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of DSP from the same pack. It's not the back side of the peach piece. The backside of the large piece is a green color.  I didn't really care for it and I didn't think it would look good on the side strip.  Plus I didn't have a strip of it so I would have had to cut a new piece and that would have defeated the whole purpose here of using up pieces in the pack.

I added some Petal Pink organza ribbon to the front. I lined the edge of the ribbon up with the edge of the DSP.  If I would have used the green strip, it would have shown through the ribbon.  Anyway, I taped the ribbon to the back of the DSP using transparent tape.  Then I taped the whole piece to the card base using snail tape.

I stamped the words from the "Beautiful Friendship" set using Pacific Point ink.  I die cut them with the "Stitched Nested Labels" dies.  I also die cut a Pacific Point piece using the next larger die.  I taped the two pieces together and I set them in place on front of the card using Dimensionals.

It may not be a beauty but it's a quick and easy card to make when you need one in a flash!

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
