Snowman Season, Let it Snow Embellishments, Gift Tag

While cleaning off my worktable today, I found a white gift tag.  I set it aside and continued cleaning. I was on a mission, I HAD to get it done.  Several hours later I went in my workroom to make a card for my blog and I thought I would make a gift tag. I did need a special one, so I got to work.

I took out a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Let it Snow" 12" x 12" paper pack. I thought I had grabbed a small piece that just had the falling snow, but this one had falling snowflakes and red snowflakes.  But it was okay, I knew I was going to use the red ribbon yarn on the card and it tied it the colors together.  No pun intended!

I cut the DSP 2" x 6". It was already 6" long.  I punched the end of the tag using the "Scalloped Tag Topper" punch.  I taped the DSP to the Whisper White tag that I had found while cleaning.  I suppose you could get by without a backing on the tag but if you wanted to write something, you would have plenty of clear space.

I cut a 2" x 1" piece of the Dazzling Diamonds glitter paper. I formed the rolling "hills" on it using a scissors.

I punched out a snowman from on of the sheets in the "Let it Snow" DSP package.  I also punched out another snowman using a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock. I taped those two pieces together.

I taped the hat in place. The hat is also found on one of the pieces of DSP in the same pack. I just punched it out and taped it in place.

The arms are from the "Let it Snow" embellishment kit.  They are resin and you just peel and stick.

The words are from the "Snowman Season set and I stamped them using black Memento ink.

I took an 8" piece of the red yarn ribbon, folded it in half and slipped the folded part through the front and put the ends through the loop and pulled until the knot was formed.  And there you have it.  A super cute Christmas tag for someone special.

It's kind of sad about tags, they usually get tossed out!  But I'm okay with it because I had fun making it.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
