Beautiful Friendship, Perennial Essence DSP, Birthday Card

Since all the "stuff" was still sitting out, I thought I would make another daisy card.  Like I put stuff away right away!  Maybe in 2020!!!  Maybe!  LOL I don't often put things away until my worktable is so full that I'm forced to.  I just keep creating until I have no room or lose too many things.  Such a nasty habit to get into.  I need to break myself of it but we are looking at an "Old dog, new tricks" thing here! LOL

So, onto my fun card.  The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  This card was cut on the 8-1/2" side. It's scored at the 5-1/2" mark and folded.  This card opens at the bottom.  On top of the card base I taped  a 2-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Perennial Essence" 12" x 12" package.

I taped a piece of Night of Navy seam binding around the front to cover where the DSP and card stock meet. The ends of the ribbon are under the flower.  I taped the ends there.

I stamped the words from the "Beautiful Friendship" set using Night of Navy ink.

I punched out two leaf sets from Mossy Meadow card stock using the "Leaf" punch.

I punched out two daisies using the "Daisy" punch. I taped them together in the center.  I added a "Faceted Gem" to the center.

I set the flower in place with some glue.  I added some glue to the ends of the leaf stems and slipped them under the flower.

As quick and simple as that.  I think this is a bright and cheery birthday card.  This would also make an excellent get well card too!

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda

  1. I love this easy, but pretty birthday card, Wanda. It's comforting to know other cardmakers have messy workspaces like I do. Enjoy your Sunday!
