Feels Like Frost, Christmas Card

Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving.  My card for today is much like yesterday's card but with a different image in the middle. One that fits better with the real life background.  I found this image on the internet the same day I was looking for the vintage snowman image.  There's SO many fun old images available. I just resize them before I print them so I know what working space I have.

The die is from Simon Says.  I bought it a while back and had not used it.  It is fun to work with but you have to remember to keep the pieces from the "R" and "A" in Christmas or it will look a little odd. I slipped a piece of Night of Navy behind the word Christmas and I glued the frame to the image.  I trimmed it and then set it under something heavy so it would dry flat.

In the meantime I took a half-sheet of Whisper White and folded it in half.  I then cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Seaside Spray card stock and taped it on top of the card base.  Then I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Feels Like Frost" 6" x 6" paper pack.

When I was done with that I glued in the pieces from the "R" and "A" and then added Dimensionals to the back. I set the panel in place on the card centering it as much as I could.  And this is what I ended up with.  I do like it a whole lot better than yesterdays.  It's got a softer more soothing look to it.

Tomorrow really begins the Christmas cards.  I was going to make a pumpkin card for today but I wasn't in the mood and now with Thanksgiving almost over, it suddenly becomes Christmas season! And with the 8" or so of snow we got yesterday, it looks like a winter wonderland here!

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
