Sailing Home, Wonderful Moments, Masculine Birthday Card

Today I found a fun card on Pinterest that I thought I would make.  I love making masculine cards and for me it's difficult to find masculine cards that I want to make. You can see the original card here.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock.  And on top of that is a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White that was textured using the "High Seas" 3-D embossing folder.  I LOVE the looks of this folder, it's got such great movements.

I die cut the largest "Stitched Oval" using Whisper White card stock.  I stamped the birds from the "Sailing Home" set using black Memento ink.  I set the oval in place using Dimensionals.

I stamped the lighthouse on Whisper White card stock using black Memento ink.  I die cut it using the matching dies that go with the "Sailing Home" set.  I set the lighthouse in place using tape on the left side and Dimensionals on the right side.

I die cut the ships wheel using gold foil card stock.  I glued that piece in place.  The piece is not real wide and adding snail could get kind of messy, so glue is the way to go for me.

I stamped the words from the "Wonderful Moments" set using black Memento ink on Whisper White card stock.  I die cut them with the fun die that is in the "Smooth Sailing" dies that match the "Sailing Home" set.  I set that piece in place on the card using a Dimensional on the left and tape on the right.

I added three rhinestones to the card, one on the greeting piece, one by the birds and the final one on top of the lighthouse.  And that was it, the card was done.

This was a very fun and quick card to make.  And it's a GREAT masculine card!!!

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
