Butterfly Wishes, Daisy Lane, Birthday Card

Get out the eye bleach!!!  This card was SO much prettier in my head.  But this is what turned out on paper.  UGH!  But as usual, I will share with you, the good, the bad AND the ugly! Luck you!! LOL

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Very Vanilla card stock.  On top of that I have a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla.

I used a die from the "Tasteful Background" die cuts and I cut it out on the left side.  My plan was to use one of the flowered circles from the August 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit.  Well, I used it but I was not thrilled with it.  And even if I had used any other Designer Series Paper (DSP), I don't think it would have helped this layout.  It needs LOTS of work and help.

I stamped the words from the "Butterfly Wishes" set using black Memento ink.

Then I die cut four flowers, two of each size. I stamped them first on Very Vanilla card stock using Coastal cabana ink and the "Daisy Lane" stamp set.  I punched them out with the large and medium daisy punches.  I taped them together, curled the petals up just a bit and then set them on the card using Dimensionals.  I added a gold faceted gem to the center of the flower.  And it was blah.

SO, I added some sequins.  That did NOT help at all.  Maybe if I would have textured the 4" x 5-1/4" piece first. Or tried to add a Coastal Cabana border/layer behind the Very Vanilla layer.  But then that would involve getting the die cuts exact.  Sounded like a lot of work.  But I'm sure it could be done.  And the flower could stand to have a few leaves on it.

Any other ideas??  This card is in great need of some major help.

Thanks for bearing with me.  You were so brave to read to the bottom!  LOL
