Band Together, Here's a Card, Birthday Card

Today's card was a very fun one. I found a card in Pinterest that used the 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (the "Regals" pack).  I liked the color so I got out my DSP pack and pulled the "Band Together" set off my shelf and off I went to stamp.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.

On top of that I taped a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of checkered Cajun Craze  DSP.

I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock 2-3/4" x 4-1/4".  I stamped the image from the "Band Together" set using Versa Mark.  I used white embossing powder and I heat set it.  Then I used the Blends pens to color the image. I used both light and dark Daffodil Delight.  Both light and dark Granny Apple Green and both light and dark Pumpkin Pie.  After coloring I used a paper towel and pressed down on my image to lift any ink that may have been still wet on the white embossing areas.  It usually dries. It's the water based inks that bead up on the embossed areas, but I just wanted to make sure because I was happy with how my coloring turned out.  I LOVE alcohol ink pens.

I set the panel in place using Dimensionals.

I stamped the words from the "Here's a Card" set using black Memento ink. I die cut them with the second largest "Stitched Oval" dies and at the same time I die cut a scalloped Granny Apple Green oval.  I taped the ovals together.  I added tape to the left side and a couple of Dimensionals to the right side.  And that was it.  A super quick and easy card to make.  This card has such a cheery look to it.  I think if I were to make another one I would make it a get well card.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
