Floral Essence, Here's a Card, Birthday Card, 2019-2020 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I thought this card was so pretty that I had to make one.  I have not made a pieced flower in a while.  I do love the daisy ones and maybe that is why I like this one. You can see the original card here.  I made a few minor changes.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of So Saffron card stock.  This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.  On top of the card base is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Flirty Flamingo.  And on top of the Flirty Flamingo card stock is a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White that was textured using the "Layered Leaves" embossing folder.

I die cut the border edge on the left using So Saffron card stock and the "Delicate Lace" die.  I taped it to a 5" x 1-5/8" piece of Designer Series Paper from the "Perennial Essence" 12" x 12" package.  Then I taped this strip to the Whisper White piece using Tear n Tape. It needs something stronger because of all the gaps in the texture on the leaves.

I colored some vellum using the dark Old Olive Blends pen.  I punched out three leaves using the "Leaf" punch.

Next I stamped the flower petals from the "Floral Essence" set using Flirty Flamingo ink on Petal Pink card stock. I stamped and punched four.  I taped two together and set them aside. I stamped the centers of the flowers using So Saffron card stock and So Saffron ink.  I punched them out and taped them to the center of the flowers.  I added a little Wink of Stella on each flower center.  I set the flowers in place using Dimensionals.  I added a little tape to the stems of the leaves and set them in place under the flowers.

I stamped the words from the "Here's a Card" using Mossy Meadow ink on So Saffron card stock.  I cut the strip to one inch and punched end using the "Triple Banner" punch.  I taped the piece and tucked it under the flower a bit.

I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside and the card was done.

I thought it was a super easy and fun card to make.  I like how it looks even with the minor changes.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
