Detailed Bands, Band Together, To a Wild Rose, Birthday Card, 2019-2020 Stampin' Up! Catalog

Oh my, isn't the brick background SO pretty?  It's called "Brick & Mortar" and it's a 3D embossing folder.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  This card opens at the bottom and the fold is at the top.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Gorgeous Grape card stock was taped to the card base.

Then I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White card stock and textured it with the "Brick & Mortar" embossing folder.  I sponged over the whole piece using Crumb Cake ink on my sponge dauber.  I taped that to the Gorgeous Grape piece.

I stamped the flower and die cut it, it's from the "To a Wild Rose" set.  The flower is a three step flower.  I stamped the outline using black Memento ink. Then I stamped the more solid piece using Highland Heather ink.  And then the darker area was stamped using the third stamp and Gorgeous Grape ink.  Then I die cut the piece.  I did use my Stamparatus to line up the other two flower stamps.

I stamped the flower center using Daffodil Delight and then die cut it out.

The pretty lacy label piece is from the "Detailed Bands" die cut set.  I stamped the words from the "Band Together" set on Whisper White card stock and then used the die cut again to cut them out. I glued the sides of the "Detailed Bands" piece to the embossed piece.  Then I glued the word piece to the center of the band piece.

I added Dimensionals to the back of the flower and set it in place. I had stamped the leaf using two of the leaf stamps.  I used the outline one with Mossy Meadow ink and the more solid one using Old Olive.  I did not use the third leaf stamp because I didn't want my leaves that dark.  I die cut the leaves, glued the end and then slipped them under the flower.  And that was it.  I am still in awe of the background. I just love that embossing folder.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
