Sheltering Tree, Thinking of You Card

Today I decided to play with the "Sheltering Tree" set.  It will be retiring and I know I have not played with it much.  And I also needed to find a set that I could make a quick card with.  Next week is the annual garage sale and we need to get the garage set up for it.  I'm usually ready for the sale when it rolls around.  I'm one who prices and boxes stuff when I run across it so I don't have to scramble to get everything priced a week or so before the sale.  I have to scramble enough just to get the garage cleaned up and set up!  But I will have help with it so all is good!

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  On top of that is a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Berry Burst (which is retiring soon too and I still have some sheets left to use up!).  And the focal piece is a 4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White card stock.

First I stamped the base of the tree using Early Espresso ink.  Then I stamped the blossoms using Berry Burst ink.

Next I stamped the swing using Gray Granite ink.

The grass was stamped using Garden Green ink.

And lastly the words were stamped using Early Espresso ink.  And that was it for the stamping. I just taped the two layers together and then taped them to the card base.

Such a sweet and simple card.  And it reminds me of the miniature crab trees in the backyard that are getting ready to bloom.  I will post a photo when they bloom.  I can't wait to open the patio window and let that sweet smell in my home!

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
