Happy Birthday Gorgeous, Butterfly Beauty Thinlits, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up! 2019 Occasions Catalog

Today I thought I would play with the "Butterfly Beauty" thinlits.  I think these butterflies are SO pretty.  They are fun to work with and not as difficult to get out of the cutting die as I thought they would be.  This set has two butterfly dies in it, plus other smaller ones and other items.  The two dies compliment each other.  You cut the thicker winged die (like the one posted here) and then you can cut the thinner one using a different color and tape the two together to get a beautiful effect. I will have to give it a try next week sometime.

Today's card is a very easy one.  The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper white card stock.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black.  And on top of that is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Floral Romance" 12" x 12" pack.  Both of these items can be found in the 2019 Occasions Catalog.

I taped the DSP to the Basic Black layer and then I cut the butterflies.

I added small Dimensionals to the thicker parts of the wings.  I set the butterflies in place.

The words are from the "Happy Birthday Gorgeous" set. I used black Memento ink to stamp them.  I punched them with the "Classic Label" punch.  I set them in place using a small Dimensional on the right and glue on the rest of it.

I colored a couple of the "Glitter Enamel Dots" using a black Sharpie.  I let them dry a few minutes before I took them off the backing the come on.  I set them in place on the birthday strip and that was it.

I think it's a very lovely card and it's SUPER easy to make too!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
