Dragonfly Dreams, Thank You Card

Today the "Dragonfly Dreams" set came to mind so I grabbed it off the shelf and looked on Pinterest to make something with it since my mind is still a bit foggy from this whatever it is I caught.  It's some kind of plague!!! LOL You can see the original card here.  I did change a few things on it.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock.

I cut a 5-1/4" x 2" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Best Route" 12" x 12" paper pack.  I taped the DSP to the bottom of the  5-1/4" x 4" piece of Whisper White card stock after I had stamped the dragonflies.  The dragon flies were stamped using Gray Granite ink.  I was thinking that I should have stamped off but I kind of like them darker.  After they were stamped and the DSP was taped in place I added a 5-1/4" x 1/2" piece of Gray Granite card stock.

I used Versa Mark to stamp the dragonfly and I embossed it with gold embossing powder.  I die cut it out.  I couldn't imagine fussy cutting the body of this dragon fly!!! That would be a lot of work.

I stamped the words from the same set using Gray Granite ink and I die cut them with the second largest stitched circle die.  I set the circle in place using Dimensionals.  I used snail on part of the dragonfly and I set it in place on the circle.

I added Dimensionals to the 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock and set it in place on top of the card base.  And that was it.

I thought this was an easy card to make and kind of fun. It's a little different that what I usually make (mostly the top background) but there is something about it that I like.

Thank you so much for stopping by today,
Wanda

  1. I just stumbled across your blog this morning and I absolutely love all your cards. I enjoy making cards but have never been very good at stamping.
