November 2018 Paper Pumpkin Alternative, Christmas Card

While looking though the piles of stuff on my worktable, I saw my November Paper Pumpkin kit, so I thought I would make another alternate card.  I do like this kit just the way it is, but I felt like stepping outside the box.

The base of this card is a folded piece of Crumb Cake card stock with white on the inside. It came with the kit.  If I were to make this without the kit, I would use Crumb Cake card stock and add a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside.

I cut the plaid card stock in half. It measures 2" x 5-1/4".  I taped the flat twine/cord around the top edge of the plaid card stock and then I taped it in place on the bottom of the card front.

I stamped the words from the Paper Pumpkin kit using the Cherry Cobbler ink spot that came with the kit.

I die cut some snowflakes from the beautiful "Snowfall" thinlits dies.  This was a November only offer. I think I will be keeping these dies forever! I LOVE these snowflakes.  Especially the really large one.  This die set was well worth the money!  Anyway, I cut them using the gold foil card stock. I used a scrap piece and took some tiny snowflakes with me to the Big Shot and used up all the space left on that scrap.  I'll use the other tiny snowflakes on another project (maybe!).

I set the larger snowflake in lace using a Dimensional. I added the Whisper White snowflake using a glue dot. I added a rhinestone to the center.  I set a snowflake on the right bottom side using a Dimensional. I also added another smaller snowflake to the center.  Click on the photo for a closer look.  I added a rhinestone to the center.  And I added a small snowflake to the upper left corner using a glued to.  I added a rhinestone to it and the card was done!  Quick, fun and simple!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
