Wonderful Moments, For the Bride Card, 2018-2019 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I'm not sure what happened to my post yesterday. When I looked today it was not on my blog.  So here it is.

I found a pretty bridal card on Pinterest and made a few little changes.

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock that was textured using the "Garden Trellis" embossing folder and a circle was die cut in the upper middle. The circles is about 2-1/2". I recommend cutting the circle first and then using the embossing folder. I did it the opposite way and it squished the texture. So I needed to match the texture with the folder and run it through again.  It's a little off at the top but I kept it anyway. So make sure you cut the circle first!!!  Please learn from my mistakes!! LOL

Before stamping the bride from the "For the Bride" set I traced the circle opening lightly with a pencil. I stamped the image in the circle and waited  a few minutes for it to dry and then I erased it with an art gum/kneadable eraser.  These erasers are the best and I highly recommend you have one in your work area.  You can actually knead them. Sometimes I shape mine into points for tiny areas. I have even removed a pea size and replaced the eraser in my mechanical pencil. I won't be without one of these erasers.  The best thing about them is they do not rip your paper. They only erase the pencil marks. Now if you press hard on your paper and indent it, it won't remove that. And if the indentation is really deep, it may not even remove the graphite.  I usually use it when I lightly mark my paper for positioning of words or other items. I erase the pencil marks with no problem.  Okay, sales pitch over!! LOL  After I stamped the bride, I colored her in using Blends markers. Next I taped the textured piece in place.

The words are from the "Wonderful Moments" set. There's even the word border image in the set. I stamped that first and then the congratulations. I punched that piece out with the "Classic Label" punch. I set it in place on the card using Dimensionals.  And that was it. I thought it was a pretty quick and simple bridal card.  I really wished that set would have had a groom with it to so you could make an elegant wedding card. But the set reads "For the Bride" so it's just bridal stuff!

I can see myself making more cards like this. Mostly because it was easy, simple and quick!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
