Varied Vases, Beautiful Bouquet, Birthday Card, 2018-2019 Stampin' Up! Catalog

Today's card is from Pinterest. I thought it was such an elegant looking card.  And it wasn't that difficult to do either. It took me a while because I was being interrupted a lot and by the time I got it done I couldn't figure out how much time I had into it!!!  UGH!!  But all in all I don't think it was that much time. Just from the looks of it, it doesn't look that bad.

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Highland Heather card stock. And the top Whisper White piece was cut 4" x 5-1/4".

That top piece was embossed using the new "Lovely Floral" embossing folder. I did mist my card a bit with distilled water because the first time I embossed it, the paper wrinkled at the bottom.  A lot!!!

I die cut the largest Stitched Circle in the pack and set it aside.  I cut a thin strip of Whisper White card stock and stamped the loopy border on a 1/4" piece. I used black Memento ink for that. The strip, vase and flowers are all from the new "Varied Vases" set I stamped the vase and punched it out. I stamped the flower and fussy cut it out. Yup, I fussy cut on here!  The words are from the "Beautiful You" set and I stamped them using black Memento ink.  I punched the leaves using Pear Pizzazz card stock.

So to assemble the card, I taped the Highland Heather piece to the embossed Whisper White piece.  I added the loopy strip piece. I set the large circle in place using Dimensionals.  I taped the leaves in place and then I taped the flower in place. I set the vase in place using Dimensionals.  The words were die cut with a circle die and set in place using Dimensionals. I taped it all to the card base and then I added some tiny pearls to the flowers and three pearls to the word piece. It was such a large circle, so when I die cut it I cut it so there was more room at the bottom to add the pearls or it would have looked empty above and below the words.  And that was it.  It was fun to make. I love it when I get all the pieces done and it's assembly time!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
