Touches of Texture, Beautiful Bouquet, Birthday Card

"Find something else" was the words in my head today when I was looking at my stamp sets and my eyes fell on the "Petite Palette" set. I've been playing with that set SO much and I still like playing with it but I need to find something else to play with until my new stuff comes. So I took out the "Touches of Texture" set and thought I would play with the pretty flowers.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Pool Party card stock.  And on top of that is a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White card stock that was textured using the "Layered Leaves" embossing folder.  I didn't cut my card stock until after I textured it. Sometimes the card stock is smaller once textured.

I took a 2-1/4" x 4-1/4" piece of white card stock and stamped the flower on it. I colored the flower with Pool Party and Old Olive Blends markers. I cut a 2-3/8" x 4-3/8" piece of Pool Party card stock for the layer. Before I taped those layers together, I die cut the scalloped oval from the center.  No one will know you did that!!

I stamped the birthday greetings from the "Beautiful Bouquet" set and I die cut them with the oval die.  I taped all of the layers in this card together.  I set the flower piece in place with Dimensionals and I taped one side of the oval and added Dimensionals to the other side of the oval and it was set in place.  And that was it.  I thought this card went together quickly.  After looking at it here on the screen I decided to use Wink of Stella on the flowers and I did add little pearls to the center of the 5 flowers.  So cute!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
