Sweet Baby, Cable Knit Texture, Baby Girl Card

I am in need of a baby girl card so I thought I would play with the new "Sweet Baby" set.  I wasn't sure where I was going to go with it. I surfed the net to see what I could find to copy or for inspiration but there isn't much out there yet.  So I had to make up something myself.  UGH!!! And this is what I came up with.  It was actually pretty simple.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Powder Pink card stock.  I didn't cut it to size until after I had textured it.  There could be some shrinkage with these types of folders. I did mist the paper before I embossed it so it wouldn't crush or rip the card stock.

I stamped the baby, words and bottle on a piece of Whisper White card stock. I die cut the bottle with the bottle die that is in the bundle when you buy the set and dies together.  The baby and words were cut with oval dies.  I also cut 2 scalloped dies using Daffodil Delight card stock for the layers.  I colored the baby with markers and a blender pen.  I taped the layers together and I set the ovals in place using Dimensionals.  I glued the bottle in place.  The inside reads"Cute and cuddly, soft and sweet ~ someone to make your life complete."  Those words came with the "Sweet Baby" set.  And the card is ready to go!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
