Dragonfly Dreams, You're Inspiring, Detailed Dragonflies, Birthday Card

Today's card was a fun and easy one to make. I found a card on Pinterest and I changed it up a little.

I'm not sure of the colors in the original card, but I am thinking the card base there was Tip Top Taupe. I used a folded half-sheet of Soft Suede. I cut my card stock in half on the 8-1/2" side. This card is folded at the top and opens at the bottom.

On top of the card base is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Bermuda Bay.  The focal piece is Whisper White and was cut 3-3/4" x 5".

The "Dragonfly Dreams" bundle was used here. When I say bundle it means the stamp set and dies that match. The dies are actually called "Detailed Dragonflies" I die cut the dragonfly grouping using Bermuda Bay card stock. I colored it with Wink of Stella and set it aside.

On the Whisper White piece I stamped the bubbles from the "You're Inspiring" set. I used Crumb Cake ink and Bermuda Bay ink. The original card used the dotted images from the "Dragonfly Dreams" set. I thought the dragonflies got lost in it. I actually stamped it with the solid dots and found I liked these lighter bubble looking dots so much better.  It gave the card a little softer look.

The words are also from the "You're Inspiring" set. That was why I took the set out and that is where I discovered the bubbles!!!  Meant to be, right?  I stamped the words using Crumb Cake ink, though I think Soft Suede would have been better and that was what I thought I was stamping it with but no, I didn't read!!  It's okay, I just think it would look better with darker words. So I have made all the mistakes for you and now your card can be wonderful!!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
