Petite Palette, Happy Birthday Gorgeous, Birthday Card

As I was looking at my Pinterest feed I ran across this card and thought it would be fun to make.  Not only fun but quick and easy too!  And seriously, it was all of the above!

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Sahara Sand.  That's a color I don't hardly use at all. I think I'm still on the first package of it that I bought when it came into being!  On top of that is a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Calypso Coral.  I chose Calypso Coral because I had the Blends to go with it.  Actually mine are the Blendabilities and they are a little darker than the new Blends. I will probably replace them but for now this is what I have.  Though I do like the Blends better, they open easier.  I seem to struggle to open the Blendabilities ones.

The focal piece is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Whisper White card stock. I textured it with the "Petal Pair" embossing folder. I started it about 1-1/2" down from the top.

Next I stamped and die cut the flowers image from the "Petal Palette" set.I also die cut the branch piece. I used the double sided sticky paper so it was a sticker.  No gluing those thin pieces for me!!! I'm SO spoiled.

I taped the layers together.  I set the branch in place.  I set the flowers on top to see where it was going to be affixed permanently.  I stuck the branch in place. I did cut off a couple small parts off the left side and moved them to where they would be seen.  You can do that after you set the flowers in place. After coloring the flowers, I added Dimensionals to the back and set them in place.

The words are from the "Happy Birthday Gorgeous" set.  I stamped them using black Memento ink.  I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock to the inside and that was it.  A very fun, quick and easy card to make!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
