Petite Palette, Thank You Card

In my Petite Palette" set I have a small clear zip baggie with parts in it.  I had stamped and die cut a lot of pieces and saved what I didn't use.  Sometimes I stamp extras on purpose. I'm going to be running that piece of card stock through my Big Shot, I might as well run a few other things with the same pass.  No extra effort to cut a few more! Plus it's less wear and tear on the Big Shot.  That's my personal opinion!

I found this pretty card on Pinterest. I was happy to be able to use more of the wood Decorative Series Paper (DSP).  Oh and I was pleased to see this in the new catalog.  I don't recall that happening in the past.  It takes me a long time to use up papers and this gives me another chance to use more before it retires.

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Berry Burst card stock.  On top of that is a 5" x 3-3/4" piece of the wood DSP.  I had the flowers cut and in my little baggie, so I just had to color them. I used my ink pad and a blender pen to color the flowers.  I used the Old Olive Blends pens to color the leaves.  I added Dimensionals to the back of it and set it aside.

I taped a piece of white card stock to the back of the DSP, I needed it to be more firm.  Then I took a piece of the burlap ribbon and pulled some of the strands. I wrapped it around the card front and taped it in the back. I added 6 strands because they were long enough that when I wrapped it, I was able to do it twice. I had 3 strands, so it ended up being six across the front.  I think it looks nice rapped evenly across the front.  The original card has a bow.  After I got the strands taped down I stamped the words from the "Petal Palette" set using black Memento ink.  Then I taped that layers to the card base.  And I then set the flower image in place and the card was done!  So quick and easy to do!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
